This 'game' has been developed to engage people in ideas around communication, private thoughts, and closed cognitive systems. We took the neurological/epistemological idea that "only the blind system can know", as our starting point, wanting to create a game which would push participants to communicate in terms of their largely hidden & private, associative systems.
Each participant builds a map of these unknowns & unseens, as the game progresses. The aim of the game is to be the first to guess the other participants starting subject. The game is simple to make & learn, all you need is a transparent surface, some paper, pens and blu-tac, although for our version we used magnets instead of blu-tac.
With some adaption it has has the potential to be used in many differnt ways, e.g. as a Parapsychological experiement. The rules of the game are explained in the video above.
The rules of the game are described in the above video.
The game needs
- A printed set of instructions.
- To be developed to work on a larger format, over more time.
- To be developed on a smaller tabletop format
- To document more people playing it
- More suggestions for variations in the rules
