We are interested in Flunstellas from the perspective of radical cognitive science/parapsychology, as a novel model of consciousness.

We intend to put the claims of Flunstellas ‘witnesses’ through a more robust scientific examination, and examine what the theoretical ramifications would be if these experiences do turn out to have some kind of empirical grounding.

We propose that Flunstellas can be understood as a model of consciousness, in which Flunstellements (ideas, memories, Qualia) are agents, in a complex system.

Each Flunstellement would be, in a limited sense, sentient.

• Each Flunstellement would have a unique perceptual spectrum regarding which other Flunstellements it can ‘see’.

• Each Flunstellement would have some sense of ‘memory’, regarding how they interact with other Flunstellements.
